We are a charity based in the United Kingdom that helps children in Bali (Republic of Indonesia) to complete school education all the way from junior, to senior school, and beyond and maybe university education too. We support the kids with pens, books, uniforms and other essentials. 100% of your donations go to helping the children, your support and financial aid can make a difference.

I am Reen Ysselmuiden and have taken on the function of Secretary for Children Of Bali. I have a B.Sc in Tropical Agriculture, F.I.Agr.E. and was engaged as an Agricultural Consultant by a well known British Consultancy Firm for about 30 years. I have been assigned to many countries in South and South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Central America.

Bali is very familiar to me, having worked there for a while during assignments to Indonesia over many years. I have a working knowledge of the Indonesian language. The island is attractive and has its own culture: the Balinese dances are well known and I try to watch dances when I am out there.

I have been around various schools and have seen the problems teachers experience first hand when trying to find sufficient funds to cover all school needs and activities. After talking to some people in Denpasar, Bali a couple of years ago it was decided in 2006 to help a particular school with stationary and writing material. Later this gave us the idea to broaden these activities and look for an Indonesian partner with relevant knowledge about the situation of Balinese education and who could assist us with locating the right school for the activities of the Children Of Bali.
