Visit To The Seeds Of Hope [2009] Part I
We recently went to Bali this year on a personal holiday and visited the Seeds Of Hope which is an Orphanage that Children Of Bali support. This is the first visit we made, you can read about the second visit and maybe help out as there are some volunteer opportunities really needed in building!
Carla (my youngest daughter) and I just could not wait to see all the children. We where picked up by Sandra and Tommy’s son, which was really kind of them. There where several children with him which was so lovely too. We got to Seeds Of Hope and all the children were waiting for us, it was just magical and it still brings tears to my eyes. It felt as we now have an extended family which is so nice.
I went to see Sandra first and had a great chat with her while the children where playing with Carla. Then we were sat down and listened to their music, so talented these kids are. I went around the whole home to see all the rooms of the children and I have to say they where so tidy and clean. Most of the older children have younger ones in with them so they can look after them.
We just did not want to leave at all.
Sandra and Tommy are such fantastic parents (for the older children) and grand parents (for the younger ones), they give them so much love and help it makes me feel we have to do more to help Seeds Of Hope, and I will really try to do more.
You can see our photos of the orphanage in the Media section of this website.
